Naomi hat die Schwerpunkte:
- Notfall Hilfen für besonders schutzbedürftige Menschen
- Integrationsfördernde Maßnahmen, Ausbildung und Vorbereitung auf den Arbeitsmarkt
- Arbeitsplatzsicherung in der Textil Werkstatt NAOMI
1.) Notfallhilfen: Sachleistungen und finanzielle Hilfen für schutzbedürftige Flüchtlinge, die persönlich betreut werden, oder Hilfssendungen für Flüchtlings-Camps (Medikamente, Hygienemittel und Nahrungsmittel) werden über Sonderspenden von Privaten oder über Gemeinde-Kollekten finanziert. Alle diese Spenden kommen direkt und ohne Abzug den Betroffen zu Gute. Sie ermöglichen schnelles und unbürokratisches Handeln und können so in vielen Fällen konkrete Not lindern.
Im Jahr 2020 wurden Hilfsmaßnahmen mit einem Wert von 90.000 Euro geleistet. Dafür sei allen Spenderinnen herzlich Dank!
2.) und 3.) Das NAOMI Programm wird durch die Diakonischen Werke in Baden und Württemberg und durch die Evangelischen Landeskirchen im Rheinland und Hessen und das Diakonat der Remonstranten in Holland finanziert und Brot für die Welt. Finanziert werden so 5 Stellen, Auslagen für Volontäre, Kosten für Räumlichkeiten, Übersetzungen und Verwaltung und Versicherungen.

Geflüchtete in Griechenland kämpfen ums nackte Überleben, in Zelten, verlassenen Bauruinen, Hauseingängen …. Nicht nur auf den Inseln herrscht großes Elend, auch auf dem Festland. Alle nicht registrierten Flüchtlinge sind schutzlos. Und die neue griechische Regierung hat schon im Sommer 2020 angeordnet, dass alle anerkannten Flüchtlinge von den EU Programmen und damit von einer Grundversorgung ausgeschlossen werden sollen.
„Anerkannt, aber schutzlos“, so tituliert Pro Asyl den Skandal europäischer Flüchtlingspolitik in Griechenland.
In Thessaloniki müssen deshalb weitere 1000 legale, anerkannte Flüchtlinge in den kommenden Tagen ihre Unterkünfte zwangsräumen.
Der totale Lockdown erschwert den Zugang zu Arbeit, zu medizinischer Versorgung durch das staatliche Gesundheitssystem und zu Armenspeisungen. Etliche Organisationen mussten ihre Hilfsangebote aufgrund der Restriktionen oder auch wegen Covid19 Infizierung von Angestellten und Freiwilligen einschränken oder einstellen.
Das Team der Ökumenischen Werkstatt NAOMI hat ein Nothilfeprogramm aufgelegt für Familien mit Kindern und für schutzbedürftige Personen. Wir bitten um Spenden, damit wir für Medikamente, Nahrungsmittel und in besonderen Notfällen für ein Dach über dem Kopf sorgen können.
Finances and donations

1.) Emergency Aid: Benefits and financial aid for refugees in need of protection who receive personal care, or shipments for refugee camps (medication, hygiene products and food) are financed through special donations from private individuals or through parish collections. All of these donations go directly to the beneficiaries without any deductions. They enable quick and unbureaucratic action and can thus alleviate specific hardship in many cases.
In 2020, emergency aid worth 90.000 Euros was carried out. Many thanks to all donors for their support and solidarity.
2.) and 3.) The NAOMI program is financed by Diakonisches Werk in Baden and Württemberg and by the Protestant Churches in Rhineland and Hessen and the Diaconate of the Remonstrants in Holland and Brot für die Welt. This is how 5 salaries, expenses for volunteers, costs for premises, translations and administration and insurance are financed.

Refugees in Greece fight for bare survival, in tents, abandoned buildings, house entrances…. There is great misery not only on the islands, also on the mainland.
All unregistered refugees are unprotected.
And the new Greek government ordered in summer 2020 that all recognized refugees should be excluded from the EU programs ESTIA and thus from basic services.
“Recognized, but unprotected”, this is how Pro Asyl titled the scandal of European refugee policy in Greece.
In Thessaloniki, another 1000 legal, recognized refugees will have to evacuate their accommodations in the coming days because of this order. .
The total lockdown makes more difficult any access to work, medical care through the state health system and to varies social kitchens. A number of NGOs had to limit or stop their offers of help due to the restrictions or because of Covid19 infection of employees and volunteers.
The team of the Ecumenical Workshop NAOMI has set up an emergency aid program for families with children and for people in need of protection. We ask for donations so that we can provide medication, food and, in special emergencies, a roof over the head.
